I purchased a M3 RWD in July and received the 4k rebate. The car is fine for my family of 3 but just found out we have a new addition coming in 2024. Zero chance I can fit a second car seat behind the drivers side.
Assuming I sell/trade the M3 and pickup up a MY, how is the 4k treated? I know they “require” you to own the vehicle for 36 months but looking for someone’s real world experience. From someone that has sold or traded their car prior to 36 and what were you responsible for? The entire amount or a prorated amount? How was it recaptured and does it prohibit someone else from immediately registering the car?
No judgement please, this isn’t pricing arbitrage this is a life event requirement. Looking for a civil response on how it works.
