chill mode 2016 S 70 / tire wear

At least on model 3, chill mode reduces the maximum power you can get but you still have quite a bit of torque from stand still if you mash the pedal. You might still be able to use up tires. Taking corners fast also uses tires and you can do that even in chill mode. As a reference, on model 3 it limits output to around 200hp.

you have complete control over your "sportiness" and how much tire wear you get even in normal mode, you don't need chill at all. Just accelerate gently and don't take corners hard and you'll be good.

I use chill mode only on city streets (and usually so). On the highway I use standard, i have found at times I need the acceleration and if in chill mode I might not get it, so for safety reasons I use standard on the highway.
