China knows that expendables are not the future of rocketry. If only the US Congress could be convinced…

Berger’s report sounds like they are a long way off from finalizing the design, let alone building and testing it.

Berger’s report sounds like they are a long way off from finalizing the design, let alone building and testing it.

That is likely true, but at least the Chinese government recognizes the path they need to take with future rocket development, and I’ll bet they meet their objective. The Chinese space program is quite impressive; they have eclipsed the Russians and their new space station is quite an achievement.

Progress is progressing. Vertical landing with methane-fueled rocket. At a guess, the rocket is 2 meters in diameter and 10 meters tall.
