Kinda like "Coil" too, but it sounds just a bit sinister (coil like a snake)

'Coil', for me, still means a plain ordinary lightening generator type of Tesla Coil rather than a gathering.

Hypermile is one of those words that sounds like it involves something fast, when really it's quite the opposite.

Collective name for a group of Teslas

Over on the Tesla Forum, NOGAS4G asked what the name for a group of Teslas should be. Since we are getting together in the Kansas City area this weekend, I too am wondering what to call the group of Teslas that will be present.

I like Coil as it references one of Nikola Tesla's best known inventions, a Tesla coil.

Battery is an interesting option as it is already the collective name for a group of streamlined fish -- barracudas.

Others have suggested: alset, arc, array, bolt, charge, drive, execution, flight, grin, megawatt, musk, nikola, pack, port, pride, revolution, swarm, trove, tsunami, wave, and whisper.

Each of these has something to recommend it; but, some less than others. I added my favorites to the Poll. What do you think?

I missed this thread from last year on the name for a group of Teslas.

It seems the Roadster owner's consensus was a coil of Teslas. I like it.
