Console sliding lid snaps, doesn't soft close

How to take out the console, so I can investigate how to repair the console sliding lid please?
My hand bumped something on the console sliding lid ceiling when I reached in the grab something. Now the lid snaps closed rather than a soft close.
I think it's a wire or spring that may have come off a connection or something.

Refreshing this one, as it's quite tricky fixing the console lid.

Not yet. I'm sure it's a simple spring being reattached to a hook, but to access this, needs a contortionist or pulling out a seat and then console. Maybe a mirror and light, but I'm not that far yet.

Hello, I've just got myself a Model 3 the other day and now noticed the console lid is snapping instead of slowly closing, did this turn out to be a fix it yourself job in the end?
