Cure for squeaking windows when rolling up?

Just had my Model X in the shop and forgot to complain about the windows squeaking like hell when they go up and down. Any info on this?

Make sure the rubber seals are clean on the part that rubs against the window. Roll down the window and wipe the inside to get any grit that might have built up out.

Some people also lubricate the inside of the seals with molly or silicon based sprays. Spray it on a rag and wipe it on the seal.

I had a similar problem, First SC told me "Sorry about that and told me to apply Rain-X on my own time". Second SC visit at a different location actually Lubricated the windows for me and I have not had an issue since.

I had this issue after I waxed my car. Some wax got on the window and it started squeeking. Cleaned it with some alcohol and the squeak went away.
Other ideas like some Lub might also solve the issue and save you a trip to the service center.

Gummi Pflege is pretty much standard equipment for BMW owners. BMW even sells it with their own label at dealerships. In addition to windows it is great for keeping the door and trunk seals in good shape. Anything with a rubber like seal is candidate for Gummi Pflege.

I use it every other month on my BMW door seals. They still squeak because the body flexes so much, but it reduces the noise.
