thanks a lot for your polite offer! i will consider.

issue waterproof: a buddy of mine (technician) is rather skeptic about waterproof connectors. in case of moisture inside the plug housing - however it got in there (condensation for instance) - the interoir would dry much harder than a not waterproof connection what supports corrosion. i feel he is right...

Regardless of having a better connector, I would recommend checking with your service center folks before attacking your PEM. They may refuse to deal with a modified PEM, which would put future service maintenance sessions at risk.

yes, but all my thoughts here are about modding the plugs down at the fan only, not the connector into the PEM...

The plugs at the fan don't get unplugged during service, just the one at the PEM. The PEM one is the one that burns up and causes problems. I don't recall anyone ever having problems with the one at the fan.

I still have the special crimptool and some spare pins. I’ll check this evening. PM me if interested.
