hi folks, i once also had many of those 1144/46 alerts day after day and finally member warden_clyffe modified my PEM/fan connection by replacing the original fan connction terminal as discribed above. now i am very happy with this solid solition and never ever had an alert since then again...

hi folks, i checked the 15 A fuse in that black fuse box in the back of my 2.0 near the trunk (right side, see picture). unfortunately i (Holger, the fool...) did not memorize the correct position of that fuse. the 2nd slot from above i assume but i am not absolutely sure. could you perhaps...

yes, but all my thoughts here are about modding the plugs down at the fan only, not the connector into the PEM...

thanks a lot for your polite offer! i will consider. issue waterproof: a buddy of mine (technician) is rather skeptic about waterproof connectors. in case of moisture inside the plug housing - however it got in there (condensation for instance) - the interoir would dry much harder than a not...

1. the fan is equipped only with strands copper wires 2. this connection can easily be made waterproof 3. the fan pulls up to 25 A current maximum so for me a heavy duty srew joint connection for those currents should always be superior to any delicate plug connection.

i ment this sort of easy, cheap and proper connection between fan and PEM wires...

is there any serious reason against cutting the connectors and replace with insulation screw joints/lustre terminals?

yes, the trunk light works. when i pull the plug from the switch it goes out and starts glowing when the plug is inserted again.

yes bart, a buddy is working on a much better connector version we want install in our cars. i think i will wait and install that solid plugs when available. @ x.l.r.8: i agree to your logic thoughts but many others say that the roadster alert system is not logic at all and some strange alerts...

i will certainly check the plugs soon. some further information: the alerts do not happen immediately after starting a ride. they start after everything has warmed up a bit, aprox. after 15-20 miles and then after i sucked heavy power from the battery occured by fast accelaration or high...

hmm...i am confused... IP1144 is a typical fan problem alert. right? and the fan blow is a separate air cooling circuit which has nothing common with any other liquid coolant circuit. the front based liquid cooling system supports the batterie and air con only. very strange... BTW: is that...

yes, different. 2.0 is definitely ON in position P and key stays untouched in ON position in the starter lock too.

leaving the car in P-position in between (for instance for peeing...) would be ok, right?

consider the special model variations also. i drive a 2.0 "signature 250" with special features that other models do not have in a limited edition of 250 cars only. i assume - and many others too - that the value of this model will be rated higher once than the "normal" cars.

...but i am afraid it had not been not that essential "one turn of the key, never shut off"-trip. so i will try again...

i think i already drove down the battery from a full range charge under 20% - but it did definitely NOT trigger the recalculation...:(

hmm...i am not sure whether i did. i think it was more than 5% left. but which 100% do you mean? 100% total full battery = end of range or performance charging? or 100% standard charging/ideal range? (also: 5% of total content/capacity or 5% rest of ideal range?). i assume, you ment 100%...

hello experts, in october 2017 i had a battery exchange on my 2.0 roadster "signature 250" , built in 2010. by occasion i got a fine used one with 149 Ah CAC. my old finallly had 129 Ah only. till now after months and 2000 miles with the better battery the car still has not accepted the new CAC...

but the PEM was cleaned ins spring and PEM-temperature was moderate/cool when the 1144- alert happened. i assume i have a combined fan cooling the motor and the PEM.
