I think I've decided on 2 PW's for my 9.9 KW system. I still don't have complete clarity on how to appropriately size, but my gut suggests 1 is a poor value compared to 2 and more than two can be complicated with the need for an NGOM and of course more money.
Based upon the 18k and change quote people seem to be receiving from Tesla for 2 PW, my solar installer was $7k more. They could do it before EOY, but outside of the fire code and tax credit, I'm not in a hurry to spend $7k to save ~$750 ITC. Hopefully the fire code thing sorts itself out.
Now if only someone from Tesla would contact me about my order... 14 days and counting.
