Hi
I recently (its been just over 1 month) took delivery of my 2018 Model S. I am still waiting for my vehicle registration and number plates. My temporary registration has expired as of last week. Any one experiencing this?

Thanks

Purchased a used Tesla 4/26 from Tesla in MD despite being a PA resident, because Owings Mills is much closer than Philly or Pittsburgh.

The delivery agent at Tesla told me to wait a few days and I could use my PA plate (transferred from my old Tesla that I traded) as long as I had the pink PA temp registration form. A call to the PA DMV told me that wasn't true, that I can't use the PA plate until I have my permanent PA registration.

When I called Tesla today they told me they still haven't sent anything to the DMV in PA and can't give me an estimate.
They gave me the old "get them off the phone with the promise of a callback" routine. Not anticipating an actual call back today, tomorrow, or even next week, unless it's to try and sell me solar again.

A total reversal from when I got my 2014 in November 2017, and they had a permanent PA plate sent there via FedEx and it was ready on the day of delivery.

Taking my car on a road trip soon and would rather not have the floppy MD temp tag attracting unnecessary police attention.

This is crap. We live in an electronic era, and in China they can take sand, make silicon chips out of the sand, take recycled plastic and aluminum cans, and make an iPhone out of all that stuff and have it shipped to Cupertino in the amount of time it is taking to get a registration transfer done and they don't even have to ship the plate. I have it with me.

Just call your delivery specialist, he/she will email you the updated temp tags via email to print.

Sometimes I think (some) Tesla employees spend more time reading here than working.

I just got a call back from Tesla saying that I was "good to go" and put the PA tag on my car, which again does NOT agree with what I got when I called the DMV.

So, if you want anything done right, the best way is to do it yourself.
Off to search PA title/registration FAQs. Because there is a small chance the DMV guy was wrong.
