Thank you so much. I knew it wasn't normal as I can flex the bumper easily with my knee. That makes sense that the bracket is faulty. That helps me a lot knowing that because I go in next week for the repairs--which I am guessing means they look at it and order the part. Really, really appreciate your replying!!!

Update--

I took my car into Tesla service today. They are quite friendly and speedy.

1- I ended up fixing the paint drip with a micro fiber towel and my incessant need to keep the car looking clean and new.

2- The bumper clip was in place and unbroken. The rear bumper simply wasn't clipped into it. They fixed it in 5 minutes.

FWIW, he said the item causing the most problems is the windshield wiper fluid hose not being connected so no fluid comes out.
