Unless you have a friend around with a PICKIT programmer, I'd go ahead and buy that too when you purchase the OVMS unit, antenna, etc. You'll need it if you ever want to upgrade the firmware, use the ACC features, etc. FastTech is great, but they are in Hong Kong and you can easily wait a few weeks for your shipment.
