When I had a 2018 Model 3 and closed the hood by putting two hands on each side of the Tesla emblem, then pushed down and hold it I can hear and electric latch engaging. Now I have a 2023 Model Y Performance and it sounds like a mechanical latch. Did Tesla get rid of the electric latch?

I notice no difference on my '22 MY compared to my old '18 Model 3. There wasn't anything electric going on, to my knowledge, when closing the frunk. Just the click from the latch locking it down.
Well, then maybe they changed it back 2018, because my December 2018 Model 3 definitely had an electric sound. When I held hood pushed down I could clearly hear a solenoid. But in my new Model Y I hear a mechanical latch click.
