I’ve been working out of town and the km are climbing on my M3.
I read that the brakes should be adjusted every 40,000 km. Does this need to be done at Tesla service or can any mechanic do it? I’m worried about possibly voiding my warranty.
Adjusted? I don't think so. Where did you get that notion?
They recommend a periodic inspection and cleaning of the sliders on the calipers if you live in the salt belt. I don't believe that maintenance or lack of it affects your warranty.
There is nothing special about the tires, suspension system and brakes, any good shop can do the work. In fact they will usually do it faster and cheaper.
If they say we would have never done this good of
job, it must be from another shop.
Sorry what I was trying to say as long as its OEM they
should not have an issue, sorta like changing tires.
