Hi, this is my very first post! I own a ‘15 70D. My driver door handle would present but when pulled it would not open. I bought a kit online with upgraded micro switches which replaced the two switches that mounted to the handle. This fixed my issue and the door worked great. One day later the door handle stopped presenting but I could pry it out with a credit card and pull it open. The part that puzzles me is that once I open the door the handle will stay out! That tells me the motor and paddle gear are still OK. Also, if I open the door from the inside, the handle will present halfway, pause, then fully extend! My question is, did the third sensor go bad so the car thought the door handle never retracted to begin with so it won’t extend when I walk up to it? Any insight would be appreciated before I take the door apart again blindly.
Did you figure out the solution? One of mine has a similar issue currently. I've fixed broken paddle gears and microswitches before, just curious if you isolated the problem for the case you describe.
