Drive Unit Replacement Frequency?

I've had a Q for a couple years now and it's been flawless over 80,000kms.

Is the milling sound like this?

2013 P85+ - original Drive Unit

The online service rep immediately ordered a replacement DU. When I got to the Service Center, though, the Service Rep told me the guy who took it for a drive didn't think it wasn't loud enough, and that some milling sound is normal.

I'd like to make sure the unit is replaced before the 8-year warranty is up, because I intend to keep this car for a long time.

What would you all recommend?

Over 65k on my March 2015 build S85D. No issues at all, my goal is to always reach the other end of the intersection before the opposite traffic ICErs even start moving, tires do not last long but DUs OK

I have a 01/14 S60 with close to 94k on it... March it 2020 in brought it in for clunking and play in the driveline (regen to throttle/ vice versa) and they told me everything was within Spec and snuged some suspension components and said it was good... Didn't help. Forward to yesterday, they told me that I need it replaced and the have one on order....

I had a 2013 Model S90 and had 2 drive units replaced.

My current 2016 Model S75 has started making an increasingly loud hum, but I doubt the SC would replace it until it gets more objectionable.
