How about for decades?
Every vehicle I've ever owned - back to my '76 Monte Carlo - has been equipped with cruise control.
The first one I've used it consistently on? My Tesla.
3 days without cruise control... in bad weather... doesn't seem dire. If the ice & snow are building up enough to block the radar, I think that's one of those "Thank you very much, can I be in charge for a while?" kind of moments.
