Dumb range question.

So I was clicking around and i accidentally got onto the UK Tesla site.

Looking at the Model S, 75D, the range in the UK was 304 MILES vs 259 MILES.
UK: Order a Model S
US: Order a Model S

I know the units are the same, are the measurement stadards really that different?
17% more range seems huge...

I'm gonna buy the 75D as I cannot afford the extra $20K on the 100D, but like all users before purchase, range anxiety is a thing.

Pkodali is correct we use a different test in the UK. Realistically you will get about 220 miles, BUT in the real real world I base it on 180.

You should rarely charge to 100% and will start panicking you need to charge when you get anywhere near 10%.

Just to add, I had the same thoughts about range but it soon goes away. I do find myself planning routes around charging a bit more and tend to plan at least one charge on a round trip (spend a lot of time at south mimms at present). But as long as you don’t mind gettin out to get a coffee rather than a drive though it’s fine.

I have recently just got a chademo adaptor for when I go to the few places with less chargers.
