EAP > FSD Beta Subscription Question

Cannot seem to find the answer but does anyone know how it works if you subscribe to "full" FSD but already have EAP? Do you get charged the $99.00 immediately even though you get no additional features until Tesla allows you into the beta program.

Yes. Not worth it over EAP at this point. You do get traffic light detection but that alone isn’t worth it.

If your car doesn't already have HW3, you'll have to pay $1,000 to upgrade the AP computer before you can subscribe to FSD. I agree with @soldau that it's not worth subscribing to (or buying) FSD if you already have EAP, it doesn't add enough value yet. I did upgrade both of our cars from EAP to FSD a few years ago, but it was a lot cheaper then ($2-3k).

I did upgrade the computer to 3.0 for the possible addition of City FSD. Do like the light and speed limit sign recognition
