Early funding from Credit Union

My DS told me Alliant can provide early funding (even before delivery) for my model S order without needing to go past 30 day locking period for loan. DS also said it will accelerate the production process (not sure if i believe it). Has anyone been able to get early funding from Alliant CU ?
I am guessing early funding means Alliant cut a check to Tesla once the CU is happy with my credit report and loan formalities are done without even waiting for car to complete production or delivery?

I did that with my Model X about 12 days before delivery. I was a little nervous having all those funds released before I offically took possession. I was told if something happened, Tesla just sends the monry back. (Not sure it happens that easy though and glad I didn't have to find out). The good part was I didn't have to worry about funding anymore.
