ECU types and difference

Can some explain what is the difference between ECU types and how can I differ the generation of ECU by product number ?
I have read that retrofit ( ECU which supports CCS ) is the P/N 1537264-00-B , it’s for US Tesla. On the other hand, this is EU version of ECU Part number is: 1537264-20-B, if I am not mistaken!
the main interesting point for me: can I use EU ECU on us Tesla cars ?
Very confused .. would appreciate if someone could explain me ECU types and generations in details

Yes! 20-B can install in US MY/M3. But ChAdemo don’t work and charging port door cannot remote open by the button on the stock Tesla charger
