I agree with Elon but it's easy to see how he'll be attacked for his stance...

1) Dumb article.
2) Misses the point about the reason the ZEV mandate exists.
3) Elon''s point was that the mandate isn't strict enough.
4) The author calls CARB "an obscure branch of California state government"? CARB is not a small state agency!
5) The standards are pathetically low. The USA has the weakest and most idiotic policy of any developed country when it comes taxing vehicle emissions, and encouraging people to buy zero emissions, or efficient vehicles.
