Hello guys, bought a half a year Model S P85+ 2014y. Couple days my climate-control displayed me an error, that it is not working because of the error. I entered in service mod. I have errors:
THC_d0009_valveParallel
THC_d0018_activeAero
THC_w0079

I saw this thread.
Louvers near fog lights works, when I do reset (12v and control loop) car opens and close louvers 1 time (may be testing them).
Center louver I can't reach.
I think the problem is in another place, because my air conditioner don not work.

Checked connectors, 2 was very wet with corrosion. Cleaned with air and contact cleaner. Reset the car, but AC not working. I try to disconnect contacts when car is but no reaction and no additional errors.
Now I have 2 constant errors:
THC_d0009_valveParallel
THC_d0008.

One man advised me to do Thermal test, but I don't have toolbox or something to do this.

Studied the scheme at your post with actuators. Couple differents, but not so important. After learning threads about THC I understand that I have real problem with 4-way valve coolant. My guess is: It has 2 positions ( parallel and series). One for winter - parallel, other for summer - series. The main errors shows me that: THC_d0009_valveParallel. I disconnected wire to actuator and you can see wet and corrosion on it. An additional I just try to hear and touch by hand all actuators, when car is loading after reset. 2 of them make sounds and vibration (car testing them). Only one was quite.... 4-way valve.... It seems that it stucked in "parallel" position. Couldn't switch to "series" for chilling.... Great picture in thread that you attached explains it's position. I really don't know what to do next... If this issue is so important for AC to run at less for chilling the interior? Or it is some kind of events for AC that without it it could not run....

I don't think its that exclusive.
I watched it once on X stay in parallel for 10min then going into series during freezing temps
Parallel just means battery heating/cooling is running its own loop vs the rest of the car but i don't know all the details...

I believe both actuators are the same, u can try swapping them.
Schematics are available on service.tesla.com for free just register.
Try turning valve manually without actuator to rule out stuck valve itself
Measure voltage at the actuator connector to make sure u get 12v. Position signal is PWM i think, not sure what feedback signal is..
These actuators are pretty standard n used on many cars, can take it apart n see if the gears are worn/stuck..
Grab a used one off eBay or junk yard...
Some next steps for u, good luck :)

Thanks.
I checked the valve, moving easy.
Open cover of actuator and cleaned and dryed.
After installation to the car I have only one error: thc_d0009_valveParallel. Interesting thing, that car is moving valve by this actuator. Seems that car do not see the position of valve. May be some electric scheme for this actuator is available?

End of the story:
1. I bought 2 valves and replaced them. Air conditioning not working.

2. No freon in the system - that's why air conditioner didn't work. It was no error messages. I could understand it after I used toolbox 2.1: discharge pressure was 0.75. Thermal test failed with error "pressure sensor". System was without freon.

Maybe it could helps somebody.
