They are in 2 different classes with a difference in price that can approach or pass 20k. Also, I think you underestimate the incredible mindshare that Tesla has. With the recent price drop, I can't hear enough of about Tesla at work and elsewhere. 3 friends are considering getting one and 2 coworkers already bought Ys. I've never seen that excitement with any other brand.Model 3 is not a luxury vehicle, i4 is.
The difference in comfort and quietness is enormous. If the charge situation were on par with Tesla the Model 3 in its current form would be dead in the water. Hopefully the refresh seriously addresses those issues.
