Free charging using PlugShare locs

How long will Tesla allow free 32-48amp charging at PlugShare locations ultimately ???

I use them quite often…. but was told it won’t last much longer by a mobile tech.

They enabled the capability in August, and there are conditions. Whether or not anyone is using it yet remains to be seen

I hope that we'll be prompted in vehicle and/or app to accept the fee as I'm so used to plugging it in and walking away at destination chargers

why would they? they don't with superchargers

I am assuming they will have it set to charge money during times of the business not being opened as a lot of business owners use these as an added benefit to going to X business

I'm sure it will be seamless. My guess your Tesla account will be charges and Tesla will pay the provider (I'll bet taking a cut). The rates will likely be posted. The business overhead is probably the reason for Tesla to require 6 or more outlets.

Because using superchargers are known to require a fee while destination chargers have always been free

This option allows businesses or landlords to set up a location with multiple level 2 Tesla chargers and be compensated for the expense as an incentive.

I'm all for enabling this as a business model, I just hope they properly inform drivers that there is now a cost for something that used to be free
