Has anyone discussed this before? Our car doesn't save record clips into the thumb drive every second, but seems to copy the file from the car's internal storage to the thumb every 60 seconds. I tried it with my new nvme enclosure and proved that it is not real-time copying like most dash cam out there. I believe the good thing about it is less heat generated, but the best thing should be you might lose the most important seconds before an accident.
