Why on earth would they paint over the label? That's just asking for trouble. Sounds like the corner cutting of a sub contractor.

Sorry to break it to you but if it’s cutting corners then it’s tesla, the body is painted by Tesla with the doors and bonnet on.
This one could be a fluke? But I’ll be checking another in a couple weeks when it’s back with me.
That said on mine the pain issue isn’t anywhere near the sticker it’s the bolts where the latch screws to
