Frunk manual release will not retract.

So I recently had my Frunk get stuck closed. Using the manual release pulls in the wheel wells, I was able to get it open. The problem is the one on the passenger side isn’t retracting back in. It’s just dangling in there now. Any thoughts?

Remove the frunk end of the cable and lube it if it's crusty or replace it.

The latch will need lube also.
