2016 P90D X Frunk secondary latch won’t release

I have very important medication I stupidly put in the frunk — the secondary latch isn’t releasing even if I pull on manual string, it just pops open a couple inches and the latch that stays engaged when driving with it open (I presume that’s the purpose) won’t release. I desperately need to get into it first thing this morning. I saw someone show how to use fingers to do it on a S but doesn’t seem to transfer in this case.
