Real question is why are you trolling sale threads with your free time? Generally if you have to say not trying to be a jerk....
Posted to get a better offer instead of losing over 20k on a 4 month old car.
That link says plain autopilot, no 72a charger, 2k to ship it cross country, likely store demo that’s been beaten, plus destination fee and full blown taxes whereas there are ways to save 3-4K on taxes private party.

no reason to get upset
that post was just a reference to an X for 83k that also qualifies for 3750 tax credit. It only has a 48 amp charger and basic autopilot.
One can also get a new X with longer range and basic autopilot for 93k - 3750
You say you have an offer for 87k, you better take that asap.. you make good points about avoiding destination fees and 'saving' on taxes

2018 Model X 100D
Just Sold

The only other one posted here is 89.5k with a clear protection wrap...

Not sure why you guys are still in this thread if you’re not looking to buy..

I realize there are some cheaper deals but this is in line with recently sold values here,eBay, and one of the cheapest on cargurus within 500 miles

Waste of my time to have people like you muddy the thread with your views from different markets

Still for sale until potential buyer picks up this weekend, i just posted a link referencing a recently sold car
If you sold it to someone else, while the current purchaser is waiting for the weekend to pick it up, that'd be a DB move if you ask me (unless of course they wouldn't provide you a deposit)... not someone I'd ever consider buying anything from...and yes I'm on this thread because I'm considering buying an X....just not your X.

DZM

The person has made no guarantees and wants to take a look at the car this weekend, not going to take it off the market when I'm not sure what will happen..

Here is no saving on sales taxes. In the state of CA when a car is sold and you register to new owner they will recollect sales taxes based on the sales price. Some states don’t do this but others like CA get all there is to get.

I was referring to other ways of saving on tax private party for anyone genuinely interested. I agree there's no way around it buying from a dealer

Perfectly legal, there's no foolishness or fraud but if that makes you feel better fine. Why are you guys so into other people's for sale threads?
Really put off by the attitudes and name calling by the uninformed here

We don't NEED to sell it and if it doesn't then i'll just wait for Model 3 to get air suspension hopefully and get one of those for commuting, keep the X for road trips, and sell off our ICE vehicles. Maybe keep one manual transmission :)

Ok hopefully final bump, 87k buyer wanted to buy it as a 'donation' to his church and list it as 'gift' with the DMV saying we'd get tax benefits if he wrote the check to someone else in the family...but that would still show as income, accountant recommended against it, seemed sketch

85k takes it! Buyer for 84k coming Saturday from eBay but did not want to put a deposit

The lowest I see on cargurus is 87k with more miles and then 95k
Tesla's website shows a used one for 93.5k
New one is 99K with FSD and white paint, minus tax credit

This has got to be a scam.

If you have a buyer at $84K why are you trying to sell at $85?

I have a feeling you’ll be back after that deal falls through as well.
