There's no stated production date on the German one that I can see, so it's not clear who was "first". It was a spec spot and maybe never aired. It says in the comments it was done by students -they could have seen PIA's You Tube posting and built on it like Nissan/Renault might have done.

Unlike all the others, this German one used real oil smoke not CGI. The gas powered camera idea was great, hilarious! The spot was pretty poorly lit though.

They are all good for EVs and the "who did it first" controversy just helps get the word out even more.

... did anyone else think that Nissan's "What would the world be like if gas powered everything?" ad was awful similar to the "cell phone" commercial from PIA's series of ads? Yeah, we....
