Yes, you can use the referral for leases.
Well, not sure actually. It used to be that you could. I did, but that was in 2015.
My Tesla app's description of the referral program does not mention leases. But I would try it anyway. The referral code is a URL that starts the order process. You do not have to choose your financing method until after you place the order. You can (or used to be able to) change how you finance the car after the order is placed.
