Glass Backorder

I recently has a ding in my windshield spread to a 3" crack. I went through my insurance company and set up a replacement. The local glass company told me it is an 8 week backorder for a new windshield. I emailed the executive escalation team, and sure enough, it is 8 week for a new windshield.

I am glad the crack is small, because if I could not drive the car for 8 weeks, I would go through withdrawal.

My sliding glass roof developed cracks on the leading edge of my MS and like I read earlier they are backordered.

What has been others experience is something breaks under warranty and parts are backordered. Does Tesla give rentals in those situations?

Here in Norway, yes.
