I agree about the hyping being detrimental. GG is not quite in the same state as the Newton was, but it sure isn't ready for prime time.

As for Tesla hype, I think it's that it's been talked about so long in Germany, especially with the Roadster and some big articles on that wrt kilometers driven etc., and nobody's actually been able to buy one. I think that once Euro sales begin, we won't see comments like this.
