Just curious and can’t seem to find it anywhere:

I’m impressed with the GPS in my 3!
It seems very accurate and I’ve never seen it not acquire position immediately. Anyone know if it’s compatible with other systems (Glonass, Galileo..) and or WAAS capable?

I suspect that the reason it works better than the GPS in most phones is the antenna.

Phone has to use a small antenna that can fit in a phone, a car can potentially have a car-sized antenna.

I think the gps antenna is on the front windshield. So it's quite large. It can still have problems - I park in a garage, in a wooded area, sometimes it loses reception as I'm approaching home, and doesn't regain it when I'm leaving the house the next time for a while.

Live in a high rise and park in a VERY large parking deck. Always takes 30 seconds to over a minute to reacquire signal. Find my iPhone, iPad and 1 of my Garmin watches faster. 1 Garmin slower. So I would rate it about average at best.
