Green Number Plates for Zero Emission Vehicles

Hi guys!

I’m pretty sure there was talk last year about a consultation for the above.
Personally, I think it would be quite neat to have green number plates:

• It would promote awareness
• It would make it easier to “gauge” the amount of ZEVs out there as a road user
• It might make it simpler to police potential future incentives for ZEVs (like free public parking, congestion zone exemptions, etc)

Does anyone know if this has gone ahead or if it’s going to be rolled out eventually?

I haven't heard of this, but I'm sure other countries have some similar scheme where LEVs/ZEVs are marked in some way. If it's a different coloured plate, or some sort of logo on the plate, I'd be OK with that.

Some US states have a sticker which gets applied to the front corner of the car which I think is hideous.
