Headrest on 2021 (November) Model Y starting to flake.

Tesla is going to charge me $203 to fix. Should this not be covered by the warranty?

That's terrible. For a 6-month car there must be something defective in the material or workmanship. If this happened on a 3-yo car, then I would chalk it up to wear and tear. Of course, I hope this is not caused by some kind of hair gel/dye that's corrosive to leather. ;)
 
It's not from hair products... I have no hair. Look at mine : ( Seems a lot of people are having problems with the seat fabric recently.

I don't use sunscreen or put anything at all on my head.
