High density low voltage battery

Hi, had a cryptic message from
Tesla stating my M3 has Ryzen and the high density low voltage battery. Does anyone know if this relates to the main battery or the small on under the frunk?

Low Voltage = small one
High Voltage = Big one

It replaces the old fashioned 12v car battery, hopefully it will be more reliable too.

Out of interest how did Tesla tell you this, was it something you asked or just an email out of the blue ? I'm hoping my March Delivery has the same.

Any mention on the laminate rear glass or 'superhorn' ?

That’s correct. The new low voltage battery is now 15.5 v rather than the old 12 v one. Low voltage in that it isn’t referencing the 355 v one that propels the vehicle.

Tesla use the terms high voltage / low voltage in referring to the two different batteries. Other manufacturers may use terms traction / aux battery.
