Historical worst case battery degradation

My 2017 S100D just hit two years and 90K miles. I've lost 9% of my battery capacity (339 miles best rated range shortly after delivery to 308 miles now). I charge 50% at superchargers and 50% at home (HWC), with 90% normal charge max and 100% about once per month. I drive down to 5-15% charge on a regular basis.

The degradation curve has not been smooth.

I lost 5 miles of range in the first 10K driven and another 5 miles in the next 30K (-10 miles total over 40K miles). From 40K to 63K, I lost one mile of range. From 63K to 68K, I lost 7 miles (-18 total over 68K). From 68K to 90K, I lost another 12 miles of range.

I pointed out the rapid loss over a 5K mile span (7 miles from 63K to 68K), and Tesla service called it normal.

Losing 10% of range impacts my regular driving significantly, but it appears I'm stuck. Based on other posts here and elsewhere, I'm afraid that a refurbished replacement battery (if Tesla agreed to swap the pack) would be even worse than the one I have.
 
As for the real math, your P85D had an EPA rated 242 miles at 100% when new. If you’re at 236 right now, that’s 2.5% degradation, which is phenomenal for a 100k mile EV.

The rest of your math is made up and/or misinformed.

Original P85D range was 253 epa

Well it appears you are both correct: Originally it was 242 for a P85D on turbines, and then they software updated putting the rear motor to sleep at cruising speed which increased that to 253, but that 253 number is for the car on 19 inch wheels...

Now I am wondering on early software versions if the rated range ever did adjust itself when someone changed the wheel size setting in the car?

Regardless "only" 236 miles of range (at 97%?) in a 100K mile P85D sounds very fair.

And who actually drives 236 miles at the appropriate Wh/mile to see that it is accurate...

To be fair, Tesla only ever promised you 335, so you’re really only down 8% from advertised range.

8% loss over 90k miles with 50% DC charging? That sounds like reason for celebration, not a service visit.

For reference, I’m at 10% loss on a 2016 S75 with 90k miles and far less supercharging.
