How Can I Politely Decline Speaking To Strangers About My Car?

I’m a young female Tesla owner and I am constantly stopped in public to talk about anything Tesla related. At first it was fine, but it has greatly escalated. People have blocked in a parking spot/charging spot with their cars and approaching my window, where I would have no way to exit the situation. I respect that the new technology is exciting, but I don’t feel as if it’s fair to put me in uncomfortable/unsafe situations just to make a couple comments. How can I politely turn down these interactions?

Sell your car. Otherwise you’re part of the Tesla revolution!

It's great that you want to be polite. Maybe you've reached out to a stranger before. Think about how it feels to be that person unless you feel threatened you should be kind and show enthusiasm about how fun it is to drive an EV. It's for the planet!

Miss, certainly this thread is “interesting”, to say the least. How you come to drive this car is irrelevant. Your issue is “annoyance” by the inquisitive. Unfortunately, your annoyance is synonymous with ownership and driving. Either learn to manage the “annoyance” or drive something else. I haven’t read through the litany of responses but I’ve seen enough.
Good luck to you! I hope you find your answer.

Print out a stack of "Tesla's General Questions and Answers" and put it inside your car like a flyer, so when people have questions give one to them and politely ask them to take a look.

Probably something to start with by cut and paste some info from this page:
New Owner Frequently Asked Questions

Most importantly, be sure to include your referral code on the bottom because u never know they might buy the car the next day. Win-Win.

This is what I made to hand out. Everyone is more than welcome to make revisions to it, even if it's just to change the referral code. Follow up tweets have versions for the S and X.
