How does the app know I've painted my stock 19" wheels black?

Do you mean you can change the color of each of the wheels, or just change the wheels?

In the car the aero wheels with cap kit are the right color (dark grey) but in the app they are silver.

I wish the lugs were also black not bright silver.

No you can't change the wheel colours unless you specify in the Tesla settings what size wheels you have. In car my wheels show up as the old style 19" wheels but in the app they are the new style.
Sorry that screen shot was a bit misleading. I took it when I first realised they had changed but now are back to alloy I was really only trying to highlight the change in the headlights.

haha... I think it's just a case of the iOS & Android app team haven't been working to the same testing protocols.
But saying that the weird thing is that the wheels were the stock 19" which Tesla don't make/sell in Black so why would they have a colour profile built into the app for this??
