i'm nearing 15k miles on my original set, wondering how much longer before i have to replace them.

This is likely going to sound rude, and I want to say up front that its not ment to be. With that being said, this question is the same thing as asking " How much weight does everyone gain from eating a rib eye steak?" or "How long will my car stay clean before I need to wash it?"

The answer to those questions (and your question) is "It Depends..." (on a multitude of variables). For some people its 10k miles, for some its 30-40k, and everything in between.

Get a tire tread depth gauge tool, and measure it, which will give you some idea of what your tread depth looks like. You can compare that with how far you have driven, and extrapolate out an approximate answer that is meaningful for yourself.
