"ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) SHOW

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August 2016

The 6th annual Electric Vehicle Show day will be held alongside the EV Prize at Cameron Park Kart Raceway for the public, which will feature the latest in road legal electric vehicles as well as an expo of smart technologies that are aimed at assisting to mitigate against emissions.

EV Show is run by The Tom Farrell Institute (TFI) at the University of Newcastle. In 2016 the Electric Vehicle Show is planned to co-exist with the 2 day EV Prize events to engage with a wider audience that are interested in electric vehicle and sustainability technologies. Also for the first time we plan to have a competition between a solar powered racing car and to display an autonomous driverless car on the race track as a demonstration event during this weekend of activities."

They hope to have fast charging facilities available and would love some Teslas to show up. Please spread the word.

The 6th annual Electric Vehicle Show day will be held alongside the EV Prize at Cameron Park Kart Raceway for the public, which will feature the latest in road-legal electric vehicles, as well as an expo of smart technologies that assist in mitigating carbon emissions. The EV Show is run by The Tom Farrell Institute (TFI) at the University of Newcastle.

In 2016, the Electric Vehicle Show is planned to co-exist with the two-day EV Prize event, to engage with a wider audience with an interest in electric vehicle and sustainability technologies. Also for the first time, we plan a demonstration of an autonomous driverless car on the race track during this weekend of activities.

This year primary school students will also build and race mini solar cars for the all-new Mini EV Prize. This will give students an introduction to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects prior to going to high school.

The TFI welcomes any autonomous vehicle owners with an interest in engaging the next generation of sustainable travellers (and gaining exposure to a like-minded audience) at this fantastic event.

Professor Tim Roberts, one of the organisers of the event, is happy to chat with Tesla owners about charging issues or maybe someone wants to drive on the track on the day :) Please contact him on Tim dot Roberts at Newcastle dot edu dot au.

Tim has also mentioned that there will be a Hyundai hydrogen car on display which may interest some.
