HVAC duct to rear has something in it rattling

There is a small bolt / nut / nail / stone / bit of plastic in the HVAC duct that runs under the centre console.

Its driving me mad!

When I turn left or right, accelerate or brake it scampers across the plastic base and I need to get it out before I turn Psycho.

I've tried turning the radio up but I can still hear it.....

Do I need to remove the whole centre console, or is there another way to get into the duct - I've tried sticking a vacuum cleaner down it, but no luck.

Ideas please!!

Another thought, it might be coming from the plastic air duct under the front seat.

Has anyone managed to remove one to see if anything inside?

Get one of those $20 long flexible usb camera off eBay or amazon and take a look. You might be able to fish it out with a magnet or hook if you’re lucky.

Story reminds me of a boneheaded thing I did. Had a car that went clunk-clunk-clunk at every corner. Turning either way. Really confused and bothered me. After much investigating, found three golf balls under the seat in a channel ...

Hope you have a good story when you finally find the offending thing.
