HVAC Temperature Settings - Only Even Degrees Available

My 2023 M3 LR only allows me to set temperature to even degrees, e.g. 68, 70, 72... Seems to be intermittent in nature. Any one know why this is and if there is a fix?

How are you adjusting them? Mine allows single degree changes.

Yes, I've tried. It's intermittent. Sometimes I can adjust to single degrees, other times only even degrees. I can't figure out a rhyme or reason for this.

Missed the part about "how" I adjust the temp. I tried using the slide screen control and also voice commands. For example, when I ask for 69 degrees it'll go to 70.

Just tap either side of the set temperature instead of sliding it.

Yes! That worked. Thank you for your help.

But for voice commands it still only changes in even numbered in 2 degree increments even though I ask for odd numbered degrees (e.g., ask for 69 get 70). Strange!

Maybe it is internally using metric, where 1.0 deg C = 1.8 deg F, and it's doing something like this:
20C = 68.0F
21C = 69.8F (rounded to display as 70)
22C = 71.6F (rounded to display as 72)
23C = 73.4F (rounded to display as 73)
24C = 75.2F (rounded to display as 75)
25C = 77.0F

Maybe switch the temperature unit display to C and back to F? Or reboot?

Tried "Set temperature to sixty nine degrees" and it worked as expected. 2023 M3LR 2023.2.12.

Thanks for checking your car, evermore. So it looks like it’s not a universal issue. I wonder what’s causing it? could it be the latest software update?

I have 2023.6.9. I can't recall if I had the voice command issue before updating.

Response from Tesla: This is a known issue and we are working on a firmware update. No timeline yet.

this is funny.. I noticed this bug this week... I noticed it wouldn't set temp to 69 degrees.. and tried a few others, didn't notice the pattern of even temps only.. I'm on 2023.12.9 (2023 HW4 Model S Plaid).

My Feb 2022 MSLR had a similar problem awhile back. It seemed like a numerical rounding error. It was fixed back then with some other update. The code must have been done by a summer intern.

I sincerely doubt the car conditions have the accuracy or uniformity to give you 1 degree differences.

The car can handle 1 degree differences.

Sorry, just not really possible with the variations of temperatures within the car. The temperature of the air coming out the vent is going to be much more than a single degree different than what the AC is set for.
