I am frankly shocked by how stunningly beautiful the Cybertruck is

I'll get some heat from the haters, but it is a cool design. I'm not sure why a few people require a truck that looks like every other truck. I gather some people just can't accept anything new or exciting. They will continue to buy boring generic antique-styled vehicles. Luckily for them, a few trucks are collecting dust on dealer lots waiting to be claimed.

I really like the simplicity of the Cybertruck looks, much like all Tesla designs, only with straight (er) lines.
It shows elegant execution of functional aspects and less dodads and gewgaws.
Design and engineering working together.
Kudos to Lars, Drew, Pete, David and Franz !

The 15+ year march of bigger grilles, and hoods that go on for ever, ( that make it more difficult to see !) and "focus group" type competition of catchy DRLs, the "Big 3's" pickups look gaudy to me.
The phrase "lipstick on a pig" comes to mind. ;) YMMV

Kind Regards

Tesla doesn't need oil interests, stock shorters, competitors, or Russia to ruin its business. It's doing this just fine all by itself! 🤣 Please let me know where I can get paid for telling people the truth about how bad Tesla quality is, how terrible the service is, how badly outdated the designs are, and how almost everything that comes out of their CEO's mouth is hate? Someone owes me a lot of money!
So how many Tesla vehicles have you owned to form your extreme hate about Tesla? I suspect none. So to make all that imaginary money, short TSLA. Be aware many have lost billions doing this.

It is amazing that a small group of haters spend so much time dissing the Cybertruck. It makes me wonder who is paying them!
I live in Silicon Valley where CTs are already everywhere. I see a few per day almost every day.
That said, there's way more dislike of the CT around here than like for it. I definitely feel like the minority when chatting with co-workers or friends and family around here. Everyone says they hate the look of it. I don't know anyone who likes it (except for the owners, I assume, none of whom I know).

Objection your honor this is hearsay, and should be stricken from the record.

Way more according to whom? You feel. Good for you
Everyone says they hate the look. Why do they sell any of them?
I would hope one doesn't know anyone who likes it. Since everyone hates the look.

SMH. Under a bridge?

Hate is MUCH louder than love, as today's political system shows. There aren't more dislikes, they just may sound louder.

But then again, the Valley is full of a lot of pretentious people who drive Teslas.

I almost liked this post. But then it said Tesla drivers are pretending to be important. That statement is nonsensical. 🤪
I didn't say that Tesla owners are pretentious, I said that there are pretentious people that own Teslas. BIG difference. And that there are a lot of Teslas in the valley.

Pretentious people often have to buy the latest and most expensive. Hence Tesla and the Cybertruck are often owned by pretentious people.

Yup, after posting I realized that you drive a Tesla. So it can't be what I assumed that statement meant.

That statement can be applied to most anything. For example, I play the guitar ... but listening will definitely lead some to think a very bad pretender ... but it's not pretending ... its a comical truth 🤪

How to tell if someone is pretending to be important:

Huh, I didn't realize we were in a court of law. I thought this was an informal discussion board, where people share their own personal views, opinions, and anecdotes about a topic, and hyperbolic statements are de rigueur.

"Way more" according to ME. I posted it, I wrote it, it's MY experience. Piss off with your defensiveness. I didn't attack anyone or anything, least of all you.
Yes, I *feel* like the minority in my social and professional circles, as someone who kind of likes the CT.

This is my personal report of my experiences living in Silicon Valley.

Why did folks sleep with Harvey Weinstein?

So, Elon designed a Harvey Weinstein of trucks.
It has some pluses and minuses.
Attractive styling is just not one of the pluses.

We've got a bunch of them in my neck of the woods as well. Not a single one with fully matching panels, a few are wrapped.
Frankly, I like it less and less every time I see it.
And I do have a reservation since I need a towing-capable vehicle.
Passed on Foundation series upsell, but will give it one more chance once test drives become available.
