if i defer is my price still locked in?

i ordered middle of april, and the price has gone up 3 times since then. I haven't confirmed approval of no-radar yet, but I have a VIN. I assume if I don't confirm soon I'll lose it.

I'm considering deferring for a few months in case the 7k tax break in the infrastructure bill lands.

If I do defer, will I get to keep my original agreed price ?

I wouldn't be surprised if as the bill gets closer to getting signed the MSRP continues to increase so Tesla can get a cut of the money for themselves.

Am I locked in?

yes, you're locked in unless you make any changes.

fwiw, I ordered in jan and deferred twice. the second time they told me they couldn't honor my original order, which was for SR, and so i could either defer or agree to have my order change. to be fair, they didn't charge me any new prices other than the upgrade to LR. but just be aware there's no guarantee that they'll still be producing whatever you ordered a few months from now.
