I have not seriously considered fusion for a long time. Elon not impressed, a long way off and I thought it would impact negatively (Tesla solar, roofs and natter storage). Given how bullish Whyte is, I was forced to reconsider and soon realised:
I have not seriously considered fusion for a long time. Elon not impressed, a long way off and I thought it would impact negatively (Tesla solar, roofs and natter storage). Given how bullish Whyte is, I was forced to reconsider and soon realised:
- It will of course take a long time to ramp (20+ years) which is a long runway for Tesla Energy
- It still may not happen
- Most importantly it would be amazing for Tesla vehicles - abundant energy removes the risk that the world may not transition to renewables for whatever reason
