Infotainment and cpu upgradability question

Hey everyone,

Just wondering your thoughts on or if you've read anything about MCU2 intel chips ever getting an option in the future to upgrade. How hard would it be? What are your thoughts on Tesla letting us model y/3 guys upgrade our touchscreens to future renditions, like larger and higher resolution possibly with a better cpu. Will this be part of the plan to keep older models relevant?

IIRC, Tesla said there would be no upgrade path from Intel Atom to AMD Ryzen. Also, a few years ago they said a bioweapon defense mode upgrade would become available but it never materialized. On the plus side, you get better range with the Intel Atom.
