A basic question for those who know the Roadster details: since the Roadster 1.5 does not have a 12V battery, what happens when you "Inhibit APS"? If that turned off all 12V power, then the VMS, VDS, etc. would all be without power and it would not be possible to turn the APS back on. I see that the procedure for removing the VMS calls for inhibiting APS as the first step. But the VDS must continue working then, right?

Sheet #1 and #2 power a small voltage convertor inside the ESS that provides the 12V standby power in the 1.5. It can't be turned off. That is why the 1.5 is faster to "brick" and gets out of balance. The APS runs off the entire pack voltage for the needed 12V to operate the car.
